WorkMinder — Privacy Policy

WorkMinder (“the App”) is created and operated by Christiaan de Rover (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.

1. Overview

WorkMinder is a private, on-device business operations tool for freelancers and micro-businesses. Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to sync through iCloud.

We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data for advertising purposes.

The App uses a small number of privacy-focused third-party services strictly to enable analytics (TelemetryDeck), subscriptions and purchases (RevenueCat), and optional iCloud synchronisation. We only collect what is necessary for the App to function.

2. Data You Create

The following data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your private iCloud storage if sync is enabled:

  • Jobs and job details
  • Income entries
  • Expenses
  • Mileage logs
  • Clients
  • Payment Requests and exported PDF metadata
  • Your app settings and preferences

This data is never sent to us or any third party. Only you (and Apple, via iCloud if enabled) can access it.

3. iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud, your data is synced using Apple’s CloudKit and stored in your private iCloud container. We cannot access, read, or modify your iCloud data.

Syncing is encrypted in transit and at rest. Turning off iCloud simply keeps your data local.

4. Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

To help us understand how the App is used and improve it, WorkMinder uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service.

  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not store email, name, contacts, or identifiers
  • Does not track you across apps or websites
  • Uses anonymous, salted hashing to avoid identifying users

The following anonymous signals may be sent:

  • App open / background
  • First-run completion
  • Screen views (dashboard, jobs, insights)
  • Workflow actions (creating jobs, exporting PDFs)
  • Paywall impressions and subscribe button taps

No sensitive or financial data is ever transmitted.

You may opt out of analytics at any time via your system-wide Apple privacy settings. TelemetryDeck respects these settings.

5. Purchases & Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

RevenueCat manages your WorkMinder Pro subscription.

RevenueCat receives only an anonymised app user ID, purchase history related to WorkMinder, and your subscription status. It does not receive any data you enter into the App, your name, email, Apple ID, or financial information. Apple handles all payments.

6. No Ads, No Tracking, No Selling of Data

WorkMinder does not include advertising, does not share data with advertisers, does not sell personal data, and does not use tracking identifiers or marketing SDKs.

Your business information remains yours.

7. PDFs and Exports

When you generate a Payment Request or Job PDF, the document is created locally on your device. You choose where to save or share it. We never receive a copy of your PDFs.

8. Data Retention

All your business data is stored until you delete it. Deleting the App removes all local data. iCloud-stored data may remain in your iCloud account until manually removed.

9. Children’s Privacy

WorkMinder is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly collect any data about children.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the App changes. The latest version will always be available on this website.
