SpendMinder is a personal finance app developed and operated by Christiaan de Rover. It is designed to help you track spending by pay cycle, build a realistic budget, and stay on top of debts and savings goals.

This page explains how SpendMinder handles your data and how you can get support.

How do I report a bug or crash?

Email a short description of what you were doing when the issue occurred. Screenshots can be attached if helpful.

Can you see my transactions or balances?

No. All data you enter in SpendMinder is stored on your device and is not sent to us.

Does SpendMinder collect analytics?

SpendMinder uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy‑first analytics service. It only receives anonymous, non‑identifiable usage signals and never receives financial data.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

Open the Paywall screen in SpendMinder and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID originally used to subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple and can be cancelled or changed in the Subscriptions section of your Apple ID settings.

What data the app stores

SpendMinder stores the data you enter into the app, including:

  • Expenses and categories
  • Budgets and pay cycles
  • Debts, savings goals, and related notes
  • Basic app settings such as currency and theme

This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s secure app storage. If you enable iCloud, the data is stored in your private iCloud account so it can sync across your devices.

What data is not collected

  • Bank login details
  • Direct connections to bank accounts
  • Personal finance data sent to external analytics services
  • Data sold or shared for marketing purposes
  • Cross‑app or cross‑website tracking

Third‑party services

SpendMinder uses a small number of third‑party services:

  • Apple (In‑App Purchases & iCloud) — handles purchases, subscriptions, and secure device‑level and iCloud data storage.
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription status and restoring purchases. It processes an anonymous app‑specific user ID and subscription state only.
  • TelemetryDeck — collects anonymous usage signals to improve the app. No financial or budgeting data is received.

Data retention

Your budgeting data remains on your device (and in iCloud if enabled) until you delete it or remove the app.

Your rights

  • Delete data from within the app
  • Delete the app to remove all stored data
  • Disable iCloud sync at any time
